Tinosorb (Photostable UV Filters)
Tinosorb refers to two next-generation UV filters — Tinosorb M (bisoctrizole) and Tinosorb S (bemotrizinol) — widely used outside the US. They offer superior photostability and broad-spectrum coverage, and are considered gentler to coral reefs than older chemical filters.

Well-established in European and Asian markets with decades of safety data. Not yet FDA-approved in the US due to slow regulatory process, which has meaningfully held back American sunscreen formulation compared to global standards.
